7 QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR COLD ROOM SUPPLIER

7 Questions To Ask Your Cold Room Supplier

HOW TO BUY A COLD ROOM

A chiller or freezer room is a big investment and you want to ensure that you are receiving quality products and workmanship from an established, reputable company. We recommend you consider the following questions:-

1. How do I know you’re any good?

Don’t be afraid to check out testimonials, request customer details and ask to view previous work to give you peace of mind.

Check that the company is REFCOM registered and holds a full F-Gas Company Certificate.

We provide authentic testimonials and case studies and are happy to put you in touch with our customers and organise for you to view our product and workmanship.

We are REFCOM and CSCS registered.

2. How will I know which type of room I need?

Call for advice providing as much relevant information as possible, see ‘How to get an accurate quotation’ on our website.

We do not want to sell to you online – there are far too many considerations and we want to provide you with the right product to meet your cold storage requirements. Call us for advice and complete our ‘How to get an accurate quotation’ to have all the necessary information to hand.

3. Do you subcontract your installations?

Ask if the company undertakes its own installation and engineering work or if this is subcontracted to a third party. This will help you establish whether the company you are speaking to has cold room expertise.

We undertake all of our own installations, guaranteeing you consistency of service from enquiry through to build and engineering. Our installation service promises you quality workmanship from experts who are accountable for their work.

4. How long does it take?

Ask how long it will take to obtain a quotation, supply and install your required cold room.

We aim to provide quotations within 24 hours and will always be honest regarding availability of product and lead time for installation. We are usually able to deliver/install within 5-7 days of receiving order confirmation/payment.* All advice is free and if a site survey is necessary this service is offered free of charge.

5. Do you remove/relocate existing rooms?

Ask if the company can relocate and reinstall existing cold rooms.

We undertake decommissioning work to include removal, relocation and re-installation. In some cases we will purchase used rooms, dependent on age and quality.

6. What happens if I have a problem after the work is done?

Ask about after sales care and what happens if something goes wrong, particularly if a third party is installing your room.

We undertake all of our own installations, offer a 12 months part warranty and pride ourselves on providing a friendly, reliable service. If something goes wrong we want you to call us so that we can deal with it in the right way.

7. What’s the best way to look after my room?

Your potential supplier should advise you of the best way to look after your cold room.

We recommend that you have 6 monthly maintenance checks to ensure the cold room is running efficiently to its full potential. We are happy to advise on in-house maintenance.
